Newcomers’ Checklist
Introduction
Checklist
means the list you design before going to any place or before making any
decision. We can also take it as pre requisites of anything. It is complete
detail of all the important information. By the help of preparing a checklist,
it is easy to arrange all the details in proper order. Newcomers’ checklist
means all the details that are necessary to compile before making any decision.
Checklist helps newcomers in making appropriate decisions. Suppose if someone
wants to go to abroad for higher studies and he is new to that country then by
preparing checklist it is easy for him to manage all the things. There are
three of the newcomers’ checklist, which are getting a driver license, buying a
car, and getting a home.
Newcomers’ checklist about getting a driving license
Before
driving a car, it is necessary to have driving license. It is the duty of the
officials to give driving license after checking all the relevant details. As a
newcomer, in the field of driving a car, it is compulsory to check necessary
information. Some points which are related to the checklist of a person before
getting driving license are as following.
1. Physical condition of the person
2. Mental health of the person
3. Confidence level
4. Written test
5. Ability to face the situation
6. Details regarding name and place of living
7. Driving test
8. Driving license fee
Before getting it is necessary
to have a good physical condition. It is necessary for the officials to check
the physical condition of the person. Eye side is very important in terms of
getting a driving license. The person who are too young or too old and they
want to drive. They should not get driving license and the person who have
severe heart problem or cancer disease or have quite weak eye side. They should
not get license as well.
It is also necessary to check
the mental health of the person that he is in good condition or not. If some
person is psycho patient then he is not able to get a license as he can turn
the life of other people into danger also. It is also included in the checklist
that confidence level of the person should be keenly observed. If he or she is
not capable of driving a car on the road with confidence, then he or she should
not get driving license.
Written test of the person is
also necessary. By the help of the written test, it can be judged that person
has basic knowledge of understanding signals and sign boards or not. It is also
included in the checklist that person’s
ability to face the situation can be checked. If a person gets panic to see any
accidental case then he should not get driving license.
Name, gender, complete address
with all authentic details is necessary to check. For getting a driving
license, it is necessary to confirm all such information. So that in any case
of disturbance, authorities can contact with the family. Driving test is must
before getting a driving license. It will help to test the driving ability.
Driving license fee is also important before getting a license as per policy of
the country. If a person does not submit the fee, then he is not capable of

Newcomers’ checklist regarding buying a car
There are always some risks
before buying a car. These risks may include the risk of involving in accident
situation, personally liking or comfort level. Before buying a new car, it is
necessary to look at some necessary details so that a person cannot suffer in
future. Newcomers’ checklist in terms of buying a car is as following.
a) Check the safety measures
b) Personal satisfaction
c) Outlets of the company
d) Comfort level of the car.
e) Budgeting
f) Engine performance and other equipment used in the car.
g) Market value
Before buying a car, it is included
in the checklist that person must check the safety measures of the car. He
should check that in any dangerous situation, does the car have the capacity to
face the worst. Safety measure is highly important while buying a car. Personal
satisfaction means one’s liking or disliking about the car e.g. Color selection
and overall presentation of the car. These things are very important. If you
are not happy with the outlook of your car then you will never enjoy the ride
of the car. Before buying a car, it is necessary to check the outlets present
in the country because if there would be any problem then person can contact
with authorized dealers so one should add this this in his checklist before
buying a car. Comfort level of the car is very necessary to check. If car is
not comfortable, then one can face many problems. Before buying a car, it is
necessary to see the comfort level of the car.
Budgeting is also an important
factor. If you are going to buy a car and it is out of your budget then it is
very difficult to make choices and selection. Before buying a car, it is highly
important to plan a budget and then select a car in that range. One should all
the things of the car before buying it. It should be included in the checklist
that person sees the performance of the engine and all the equipment used in
the car. Market value of the car is very important as well. Suppose if one
wants to re sale his car and market value of the car is very low then he has to

Newcomers’ checklist regarding getting a home
Getting a home is very
difficult task. One has to think many things before choosing a home. Home is
the place where one lives and people usually spend their whole life in one
home. So home should be comfortable. It
is very necessary to make right choice before selecting the home. In this case,
checklist is also very important. Some points are as following.
I. Area
II. Facilities
III. Re-sale value
IV. Personal liking
V. Budget
Before selecting a home, it is
necessary to first select the area. It is very important to select which best
suits you. Of you have bought a house in that area, which you do not like at
all then it, will create problem for yourself. Before buying a new home, it is also
necessary to check that that area contains all facilities or not. Home should
be in that area where all facilities are present. It should be near to
hospital, departmental store and other necessary places so that in terms of any
mishap one can manage the situation. Re-sale value of the home is very also
another factor, which is must to consider before buying house. This point
should be included in the checklist that before buying a home, person is
confirming that either the house has re-sale value or not.
Personal liking is also another
factor, which needs to be considered before buying a home. You can never feel
comfortable until and unless you don’t like the home. So person should select
the home after personal liking. Managing proper budgeting is also included in
the checklist. If you are going to get a house and it is out of budget then it

Conclusion
In conclusion, I must say that
checklist is very much important in terms of deciding or getting anything. By
the help of preparing a checklist, it is easy to arrange all the details in
proper order. Newcomers’ checklist means all the details that are necessary to
compile before making any decision. I must say that one who wants to successful
in the life, that person must prepare all the things before making decisions. I
believe individuals past experiences really count it making certain decision
regarding major judgments in their lives.

How to Choose a Major
At
some point in the process of choosing a college, you may have to choose a
college major, or at the very least begin to narrow your options. Several
students usually get lost when they graduate from high school for they pick a
university without knowing what major they want to study. Others do not know
how to pick a major or what things should be considered to choose the right
one. Also, many students start college randomly or later in life decide to pick
the major not realizing that by doing this they are not helping their future.
On another hand, some students choose a major because it will prepare them for
a specific job path. There are important steps to follow in addition to help
you to find the right major.
Why
does someone need a degree? It is important to choose a major for the future
that can be helpful to get into a big company so that you have a great job and
a good place to work. If you are not sure you should ask someone who is an
older than you because he will know a lot about majors since he has experienced
on college and work or you can ask your parents or friends. they are going to
give you good advise that will help you to find a way to choose your degree.
also, you can search on the internet about which major is good for you in
addition of that you can find test that will find your skills and matched with
a list of degrees and about majors that have a high demanded of hiring then
doing a major is required to get a good job. which one is good for future?
there is a lot of good majors that will help you in the future and it's
required in the most of companies. most of the people who want to get good job
in a big company go to ask about a available major that is needed to get into
their company with that information they will choose the one that they like the
most. To be ready to start to studying a good major that you think you will be
good on it, first, you have to be interesting. second, know the steps that you
need to achieved your goal, there are people who feel bad to change a major that
they already start but they didn't like it but they don't want to start a new
one because is expensive and take more time; You should be really sure about
the decision you take in choosing a major, because if you like it you will pay
more attention about what you are interested on. Also, It will not be hard to
study because you will enjoy what you are learning, for that reason you will be
an excellent professional and great candidate to find a good job because you
will show your interest and knowledge more easily and you will enjoy your work,
so in that point of your life you will see that you took the best decision on
your degree and for your life. At first it will be difficult but you have to
take your time thinking about what you really want, when you find what you
really like everything else will be flowing.
First
of all, the most important things when choosing a major is to look for is the
courses. By this, you must determine you have to take. Also, you must find the
number of hours you need to take to graduate. After that, decide if it is too
difficult for you? You can anyone who studies at the university about the major
you are thinking about. A current student might be able to help you learn more
about the major. Next make the most of the general education courses you're
required to take. Don't just pick whatever's easiest; choose the ones that
appeal to you, even if they are high level courses. (BURNSED, 2011) You do not yet know what will
really compel you. Have your radar on for clues that might be pointing you in
new directions.
Second,
students usually choose their major without having any idea about that major.
Some continue for two years in this major and then they decide that they do not
like it. Everyone should ask themselves before they choose, “What type of
career can you see yourself in?”
(BURNSED, 2011) However, I know some of my friends and my classmates who
could not complete the courses because they did not like the classes. Then,
they changed their major and lost some credits. A person should like the major
before they register for it. For example, some students do not like math and
they should avoid a majors that has a lot of math classes. Another question is
“how important is someone’s major?” The major you choose will neither predict
nor guarantee your future. Many graduates find jobs that have nothing to do
with what they studied in college.
Another
thing to do is to ask your friends in school to help you choose the right
university and major. Ask them about the university, is it hard or not? Most
universities are hard to get accepted into and/or are hard to study. Some
students choose the university without any idea about the level of teaching in
there. However, with an advice like that in mind, I still have friends here in
the United States who studied in universities that was too hard for them so
they had to leave without graduating. It is also important to research the
style of teaching and the level of education of the professors there.
Everything is related when choosing a major. A professor with a high passing
score at a higher level university gets normally great reviews which makes that
university and that class in particular a great pick for most of the students.
Other students don’t care about the level of education; instead,
they base their choice of a major on how easy the professor is. The easier the
class, the more students will register. But, would that be the right major?
Probably not! Students are more likely to be lost within the vast web of majors
by the time they finish with those easy A classes. A student might think by
choosing an easy class, they would have a better chance at graduating with the
degree that class offers. Unfortunately, that is not true! That degree can be
one that has to have a hand on experience to go with it when trying to find a
career. Or it could be a degree that is too difficult to pursue in higher
education.
Moreover
there are students that would pick a major because of TV commercials that state
how many jobs are available for this major, or how much money they can make by
obtaining a degree in that major, and sometimes they even look for those
commercials that indicate how short of a time can someone obtain a degree in
that major. In those cases, those students might be bright, but they might not
afford going to a full time college or spending 40 hours plus in school a week.
A person should not look at those examples as a reference when picking a major
because it only applies to the people involved and it might not serve every
students’ need.
One
more thing to explain in choosing a major is what a students’ life
circumstances are. A person who might have difficulty finding a job or
succeeding in one might look at the major they are picking as a way of finding
themselves in life. So, a good major in such a case would be one that would
take that student to the next level and not let him down or discourage him from
studying.
The
good news is that there is all kind of tools available for everyone to use when
picking a major. Whether it is your friend, your teacher, your advisor or a
research that you have done; everyone that you might ask has answers for the
questions you are seeking. It’s up to you to decide what you do with the information
you get. A major is supposed to be the first step in someone’s journey towards
a bright future. If you love something and believe you can be successful in it,
then finding the major to study and specialize in is an easy step. One
important thing remains though, dedication! One can follow his or her dreams
but when stress rises, giving up seems like a good option. So you should always
remember the fact that whatever you pick, has to be something you love and
believe in. The most successful people out there did it because they believed
in what they do and they loved it from the beginning.

The History of Saint Leo

The
History of Saint Leo University
Saint Leo was founded as the first Catholic college in
Florida State, on June 4, 1889 by group of Benedictine monks from Saint Vincent
Arch abbey in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. Saint Leo University started opening its
door on September 14, 1890 with an enrollment of 32 students (Horgan, 2). It
received a request from the armed service in 1973 to offer degree programs on
military bases at home and abroad. Nowadays, Saint Leo University is one of the
largest providers of higher education to military-related personal in the U.S.
Also, it continues in the tradition of distance learning. Online learning in
Saint Leo University Center was established in 1999, as one of the first online
schools in the United States; however, Saint Leo keeps growing dramatically,
and it was upgraded from college to university on august 24, 1999. Many new
centers have been established in recent years. In July 2011, the university
opened its Channelside Tampa Education Center, a facility which houses five
classrooms. The classes are offered at night and on evening for continuing
education students. The purpose of this research is to explore the origins,
founding of Saint Leo and holy name, building a church, mission and values.
Origins
Saint Leo originated underneath the leadership of Edmund
Francis Dunne. Dunne started a colony in Florida for catholic people called San
Antonio in 1881-1882 as a cultural enclave due to the dream his father had
about starting a colony (Horgan, 1). The colony is still the same size as it
was when it was established (Horgan, 1). Half of the people residing in the
colony were Germans, so Dunne had to send for a German translator to come and
join the colony in 1886. Nonetheless, Gerard Pilz was this translator (Horgan,
1- 2) Shortly after Gerard arrived, the Benedictine sisters came to San Antonio
and established the Holy Name Academy on March 11. Nuns were sent to “take over
the catholic elementary schools which had begun in 1883-1884.”(Horgan, 2) They
were sent in order to keep the schools strict with catholic rituals. On June 4th
Saint Leo College was founded. The college was named after Pope Leo XIII
because of his work in promoting the idea of Catholic colonies and education (Horgan,
5). Moreover, Saint Leo had kept the same catholic values since it was
established. On the other hand, the education of Saint Leo University has been
changed for the better. In the beginning, the college was smaller and had lower
professors, but now it has more professors and higher degrees.
Founding
of Saint Leo University and Holy Name
On February 7th 1889, Rev. Leo Haid abbot of
Maryhelp arrived at San Antonio. Then, he wanted to erect a college there
(Horgan, 1). He selected the land for the college, choosing reviewer Edmund’s
Dunne’s offer of 36 acres on the south shore of Lake Jovita (Horgan, 1). The
lake is a huge lake which is behind the Saint Leo University now. After that,
he searched for a charter from the Florida state’s government to run a college.
The Governor Francis P. Fleming signed into law an act approved by the
legislature incorporating “the Order of Saint Benedict of Florida” consisting
of Leo Haid, Gerard Pilz, Frederick Hoesel, and their associates (Horgan, 1).
The contract marked two purposes for the new college: the main objects have to
be the education of youth and the creation of churches and conducting services
therein (Horgan, 1). In fact, these are the main objects that have to be in any
University. Education of the youth will be the future. Also, the college has to
have whatever degrees the students wish.
There
is also a convent on Saint Leo University campus, “Holy Name Convent was an
independent house from the very beginning, unlike Saint Leo” (Horgan, 1). Holy
Name Convent was a great granddaughter of the 1852 pioneer Benedictine convent
(Horgan, 1). The Benedictine sisters started teaching at St. Anthony and St.
Joseph elementary schools, but they began their new academy within a few days
of their arrival in September 1889 (Horgan, 1). One hundred dollars was the
amount per five months for the session for the tuition and board, including the
bedding and washing, at Holy Name Academy; however, it cost two hundred dollars
for the year for the same amenities as at Saint Leo College (Horgan, 1).
Therefore, Holy Name and Saint Leo have a common and circumstance: they are
grandchildren of their respective Benedictine founders in America (Horgan, 1).
The first list extended its statement of purpose, seeing planning for “the
grave responsibilities of life,” as well as “an ornamental position:”
The
course of instruction is thorough and systematic, nothing being omitted which
will tend to the high moral and mental culture expected of young ladies of the
present day, and which will enable pupils of the academy to leave its portals
prepared to fill not only an ornamental position in society, but, should
circumstances render it necessary, to fill, with equal grace and ease, the
grave responsibilities of file, which sometimes so suddenly devolve upon us
(Horgan, 49)
Building
a Church
The
Golden Anniversary was celebrated in Saint Leo in 1939-1940 (Horgan, 475) Numbers
of activities were in the same year to raise consciousness about the past (Horgan,
475). “ the commemoration culminated on December 15, 1940, with a solemn
Pontifical Mass in the gymnasium, celebrated by newly installed St. Augustine
Bishop Joseph P. Hurley. A thousand people were on hand, including friends,
students, monks, sisters, two bishops, and three abbots- among them old San
Antonio boy Frederic Dunne of the Trappist monastery of Gethsemani, Kentucky,
the son of captain Hugh Dunne” (Horgan, 476).Abbot Francis Sadlier built the
church from the vision of his predecessor Charles Mohr. On November 22, 1932
Abbot Francis received approval for his building plans but it was in the middle
of the Great Depression and the college was at a financial low. Despite all
delays, the building of the church began in August 1936 and this process lasted
approximately 12 years. While building the church, Saint Leo traded oranges and
grapefruits and was given the nickname “The church that orange juice built.” On
January 29, 1948 the church had its opening and celebratory service. However,
the picture is somewhat overstated. Also, “Abbot Francis led the way in
fund-raising for the church” (Horgan, 479). Countless letters of solicitation
had sent out by him (Horgan, 479).
Mission
& Values
As known, Saint Leo University is one of the catholic and
liberal arts-based universities helping people of all faiths. It strives for
widely growth in mind, spirit, and body for all members of its community. Also,
it offers actual and practical model for life and leadership in a challenging
world on its home campus and many extension centers. In terms of achievement
its mission, Saint Leo University community generates a student-centered
environment in which love of learning is of prime importance. The university
community enables members to express and observe their own values,” listen
respectfully to and respond to the opinions of others, serve the community in
which they live, welcome others into lives, and care for all of God’s creations.”
Its values are numerous and beneficial, such as excellence, respect, and
personal development. Saint Leo University is an educational institution. “All of us, individually and collectively, work hard to
ensure that our students develop the character, learn the skills, and
assimilate the knowledge essential to become morally responsible leaders. The
success of our University depends upon a conscientious commitment to our
mission, vision, and goals” SaintLeo.edu.
In
conclusion, group of Benedictine monks from Saint Vincent Arch abbey in
Latrobe, Pennsylvania have founded Saint Leo University on June4, 1889. From
that time until this modern time, the university community has remarkable
expansions and development. There are several facts about the history of Saint
Leo University, but the most important facts that I have mentioned are the
origins, founding of Saint Leo and holy name, building a church, mission and
values.

Introduction
The main concern of students on campus is that they
have a lot of things to do and not much time in hand. Some students juggle a
lot of things at the same time which include part-time work, studying for
various subjects, finishing homework, extra-curricular activities, campus
events, etc. As a matter of fact, a lot of students lack time management
skills, which does not help me, succeed towards achieving their academic goals.
The following suggestions should help students like me improve their time-management skills to better handle the academics.
Students need to divide their work into three categories mainly studying,
working and having fun. To manage studies, students need to consider the
deadlines and the difficulty level of the homework. For example, I have 2
assignments to do for this week. On the first day, I complete one assignment
and the second on the next day. On the other hand, if I procrastinate and
decide to complete both assignments on the last day of the week, I may not be
able to finish it. To avoid stress and anxiety, I can finish my homework on
time and have more time left for other activities or responsibilities such as
reading books, preparing for exams, etc. I will not be stressed at work and I
will also have ample time to hang out with my friends and relax a bit.
Essay
Things to be
considered for time management would be the amount of days to be left for
relaxation. There can be three days off during the week, but it is only based
on how well the student manages or accomplishes task for the rest of the days
in the week. I may decide to go to work for two days and relax for a day. In
order to gain more time, it is not a good idea to skip classes. Using time
management, we can organize time well enough to have ample free time left to
catch up with other activities. For example, like I have three days off each
week. I can decide to work on part-time on campus for two days and relax and
have fun with my friends for one day. I will have to money to support my
education as well as time to relax with my friends. Moreover, I do not have to
skip classes because I can manage time well. However, if I decide to work for
four days, I will have to skip classes to make room for work. This will
eventually affect my studies, which is not beneficial in any case. A student
needs to set aside enough time to relax. Students can have one or two days off
depending on the work load each week. Everyone needs some relaxation. It is the
best way to recover the brain from stress and depression. For example, I can
manage my time very well. I manage to finish all my homework and assignments on
time. I revise my subjects regularly and always prepare myself for exams in
time so that I have enough free time to relax. After relaxing for a day, my
brain recovers and is ready for the next busy week. In case I do not manage my
time properly, I will not have enough time to relax and recover and it will
affect my attentiveness in class. That will adversely affect my studies. There
are various resources available that can help a student manage time very well.
Making use of calendars, to-do lists, emails, etc. can be of great help when it
comes to managing schedules. In case a student forgets a task, he can always
set a reminder in his calendar or his cell phone early enough that he gets
enough time to work on it before it is due for submission. Creating a task list
will help students prioritize tasks according to their level of difficulty,
time required, etc. Planning ahead is definitely something that helps a student
manage time while looking at the big picture. Having an organized workplace
also helps better manage time. If the workplace is well organized, a student
will not waste any time looking for specific material and will have everything
handy when required. Sticky-notes prove to be helpful in some cases. They are
handy and can be posted anywhere at your workplace. The tasks on these notes
can then be moved to a larger task list and prioritized accordingly. As we
know, time management is the most important skill that the university students
should develop in order to improve the schedule and do well in studies. If the
students assign enough time for all three activities: studies, work and fun,
they won’t have to worry about anything. Time management for studies will help
them complete all assignments on time as well as give them enough time to
revise for examinations. You can set aside enough time for work if you manage
your time properly. It will also help you relax and recharge for the
forthcoming adventures. Even though the skill of time management is hard to
use, it can be used to our advantage completely. Students can make their
academic schedule less stressful and manage everything perfectly. This will not
only help students in academics, but in almost every task that we handle as a
grown-up in the real world. This should be considered as a practice or a
preparation for the great adventures that are yet to be unveiled in life.
Conclusion
In conclusion, there are many benefits of using time
management. In fact, As we know, time management is the most important skill
that the university students should develop in order to improve the schedule
and do well in studies. Also, as you know by being on time in classes and
submitting home work on time that’s will make the professor give you a high
respect. As I explained in the begging of the essay the following suggestions
that I addressed should help students like me improve their time-management
skills to better handle the academics

it was a Christian College. However, Saint Leo University had a lot of sports
teams from the beginning of the university. A hobby
is something you like to do when you are free. Hobbies make your life more
interesting. Nowadays, Saint Leo became university, which means it has a
lot of students from all over the world. Moreover, Saint Leo University has had
a lot of accomplishments, and Saint Leo University is working to improve and
develop their teams in many different kinds of sports. Nowadays, Saint Leo has men's and women's soccer teams; men's and
women's swimming teams; men's and women's baseball team men; and women volleyball team.
Furthermore, Saint Leo has a fitness center where all the students can improve
their shape. At the beginning Saint Leo University had only American students,
but the international students started to increase every year from all over the
world. This means that Saint Leo University is looking for perspective students
and sportsman's not only in America but even in Europe. Our women's soccer team
was from England, and we have some swimmers from Poland; there are a lot of English
and Brazilian tennis players. However, not all of our sports teams are good. On
the other hand, I know that the baseball team was always one of the best teams
in Florida. Also, soccer has improved a lot over the last few years and
volleyball started growing. There are many kinds of sports in Saint Leo
University but baseball, volleyball, and soccer are the most popular sports at
Saint Leo University.
In this
paragraph, I would like to tell you about our Saint Leo Baseball team in the
earlier nineties. As a resource, I used our university newspaper, called
“Monarch”. My topic was comparing of our old baseball team with nowadays
baseball team.
27 of September 1991 was turning day in whole baseball
history. It is time when our baseball team started growing up really fast under
our new couch – John Schaly. At 27 of September 1991 he made a great speech on
SLC`s (Saint Leo College) Monarch baseball field and promised bigger things for
SLC baseball team.
It is some
history about our couch. His career in baseball was made predicted by his
father who was baseball couch for 29 years. Of course, the father taught his
son how to play baseball clearly. With the Marietta team he won the national
championship. After it, he becomes a couch in Berry College in Rome, Georgia.
Under his leadership, the new team showed perfect results and was only 2 points
away from the college world series. Now he continue working and making his
family business in Saint Leo College, where he want to made a special baseball
program, that will benefit not only from hard-working, but from positive
atmosphere too. He said that he would like to win the state championship in his
first year.
After this
point, Saint Leo baseball team was developing really quickly. From that time
our team became one of the strongest team in whole
Sunshine State Conference. Moreover, they still using the John`s Schaly
baseball program. I can tell you that during the Fall 2012 and Spring 2013
Semester our baseball team lost only two games with 10 wins. This is the
perfect result. One of my friend tried to join our SLU baseball team, but he
faced failure. According the statistic, from 20 students, who played baseball
in high school and tried to join team here, only 2 were accepted. Most of the
players in team were personally selected and recruited by our current couch –
Sean O`Connor. It tells us about very high level of our team.
Volleyball at Saint Leo University
is one of the most popular sport, According to Glenn Ladwig " The Saint
Leo women's volleyball team has begun the '92-93 year. This is only the second
year of the team's existence." (Glenn Ladwing p.6) A lot of people in the
world love this game. Saint Leo University has a beautiful court for volleyball
and the players are training everyday to be ready for any match this year.
Marion Bowman is the building that has the court of Saint Leo University. Saint
Leo University has only women's team which is the lady lions. Lady lions is a
fantastic team that is improving every year. Lady lions has good players which
accomplish many awards. In the meantime, According to Saint Leo News "Sam
Cibrone is the head coach, and he was named head coach on May 17, 2004, fans
have seen his teams claim a Sunshine State Conference championship. In
addition, he has many accomplishments such as, a Sunshine State Conference, an
SSC Coach of the far of honor, a NCAA Tournament. "In 2007, Cibrone guided
Lady Lions to the most successful season." ( Saint Leo ) Also, they have
played many games with many different teams in Florida. "In 2006, Saint
Leo volleyball started their season with a huge bang. Lady lions starts season
2006 second ranked." (Alexandra Farmer 8) Recently, the coach has added
many players to the team to make it better, and he is trying to work on the
weakest area in the team to make it much better. I hope that Saint Leo
University plan to have men volleyball team because there are a lot of students
who love to play volleyball and they planning to create a team to develop and
improve their skills. Also, Saint Leo University has students from all over the
world that they can share their experience in volleyball and work hard together
to create a fantastic team. I know three of my students who play very well that
will make them comfortable playing together in the same team, and they have
played many games with different teams. Hopefully, we will hear soon that Saint
Leo University is planning to have men volleyball team to participate in
different champions in Florida.
Soccer is of my favorite hobby. In my free
time I would love to watch soccer game on the TV or play it with my friends in
our university. There are many kinds of sports in Saint Leo University. Soccer
is one of most popular sport in Saint Leo University. Saint Leo University pay
attention for soccer because it is a famous sport in the world. Soccer in Saint
Leo is has teams for men and women. The men have a different schedule than the
women. Moreover, in the past Saint Leo University has one court for the soccer.
Nowadays, there are more than four courts. The new courts were build in 2012,
and they are a fantastic courts. Saint Leo University has a good team that play
different game with other teams in Florida . In addition, they are working to
make new playgrounds for soccer and it will open next fall of 2013. There are
many benefits from soccer game. By doing this kind of activity is such as
running and working out. However, the soccer is about 90 minutes that it has 45
minute for each part. Then, 15 minute as brake or resting time for the players
between the two parts. In conclusion, there are many sports in Saint Leo
University but soccer is the most popular one. In my opinion, soccer makes the
students healthier and takes their depression away. Saint Leo University has a
fantastic soccer players. There are a lot of players from Saudi Arabia they
used to play in famous team in Saudi Arabia. They have won the soccer
competition last year. Also, they have won the champion ship that was played in
Tampa. The Saudi Culture Mission has celebrated that wining, and they give them
awards because they were in the first place.
In conclusion,
everyone has a different sport that he/she love to play, and each of the sport
is amazing. Sports at Saint Leo is very important because they look for players
from all over the world to play at Saint Leo University. Saint Leo University
has had many accomplishments. Baseball, Volleyball, and Soccer are the most
popular sports in Saint Leo University. Each sport has won a lot of awards, and
they are trying to develop and improve their skills. Saint Leo University is a
good university that help their students to be a good player, and they have
create meeting with their students to see what they need to make them
comfortable.
